I absolutely recommend this book, is lovely and full of history. If you like pirates and history this is the book for you. I enjoyed going thru the book is colorful and full of facts. A hard book to put down not boring at all. It would make a lovely gift for the pirate dreamers. I love the ology books they are so different and so full of facts plus you have beautiful shiny stones in many of them. When you go thru the pages of these books each has its own special surprise be it a little envelope, stone etc. |

I purchased this book for my father for Christmas, as he is still a child at heart. Everyone in my household, from my two young children to my parents, appreciated the imagination that went in to creating this book. Anyone who has a liking for pirates will enjoy this, and the way it is put together really does give the feel of a journal. I would recommend this to any age group with an appreciation for all things pirate! |

I ordered this for my grandson who loves everything "Pirate". It has so much information and busy little things to do on every page, it will take some time for us to cover everything. And what boy (or girl for that matter) doesn't like the idea of a compass imbedded in the front of the book and a large red jewel in the back? I'm excited to watch him discover all the letters, knot-tying and other projects in the book. |

I got this book for my 13 year old cousin. I didn't know what to get him and he's not much of a social type. So I thought a pirate book would fascinate him. It did fascinate me with legends, history, and lost treasure still abound the world. It has cute pop ups, pages with "peek a boo" doors to reveal gold behind it. It also has a working compass on the front. my cousin liked it a lot and eventually my little cousin would steal the book from him and sneak off and admire the book itself. Haha. |
