At the end of the day this is a good album. |
It is sad that in the world of classic rock so many of our favorite people have passed away.
Life still goes on though and the music should as well. I don't know much about the new people in this band, but this is a really good boogie album, I think Lonesome Dave would approve. It is as good as any of the other Foghat albums. If you want some new blues/boogie rock music, this is worth getting. |

Foghat LIves! |
Awesome blues album, aside from the simple fact that Roger Earl has done a great job assembling a very respectable lineup. This album hits the blues square in the face, which was only hinted at in comparison on previous great Foghat albums, which made you drool at the possibilities - "Last Train Home" satisfies.
I've not seen this lineup in concert but now would love the opportunity as homage will be dutifully paid to our late dearly departeds: Charlie Huhn's vocals are reminiscent of a wailing Lonesome Dave, as does Bryan Bassett's searing lead guitar of Rod Price. Foghat lives and so does the blues! |

On of their best |
|
This is right up there with Street Corner Talking. Need I say more? It really boogies and wails with that good ole blues rock we all know and love! |

The album they always wanted to make |
Well, I've been waiting for this album for years. Foghat has ALWAYS been one of me and my mates favorites. We loved Faces and Uriah Heep and loved the bluesy thing that Foghat specializes in.
This is the album that I knew they had in them and I wish Dave was here to appreciate it. Rog has done the right thing in keeping the whole thing together and kudos to Bryan Bassett for an incredible blues experience.
It's funny how after (what?) 35 years that this band spits out the best album of their career.
Amazing! |
